ACCESS SURGERY
Access Surgery, produced by McGraw-Hill publishing company, includes various popular textbooks, videos, and board review material on Surgical procedures. It is updated regularly and is recommended by surgeons nationally.
ANATOMY TV
Anatomical computer program to help students study and understand the human body.
ASM JOURNALS
Includes an archive of eleven online journals published by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM).
CLIN-EGUIDE
Searches the libraries electronic resources plus Clin-eguide’s own Evidence Based Guidelines, Books, Facts & Comparisons Drug Information, Medline from 1996-Present, National Guidelines, Nursing Advisor, and Patient Handouts simultaneously.
COCHRANE DATABASES
These databases are a collection of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) review articles. These articles are written by doctor’s, or other medical personnel at various hospitals worldwide. The foundations for most of the reviews are based upon evidence from the medical literature combined with hands on experience.
FULL TEXT JOURNALS
Collection of journals held in the library which are also available electronically.
INFOTRAC
Infotrac Health Reference Center is an online database provided to the library through New York State’s Department of Education. Infotrac offers full-text journals, Medline type search interface, and includes a dictionary for support.
ONLINE BOOK CATALOG
This is an online database which allows members of the college community to search for textbooks and journals owned by the library.
ONLINE BOOKS
Contains approximately fifty commonly used medical textbooks completely available online.
OVID DATABASES
Includes databases which are produced by Wolters Kluwer Health, a division of Lippincott Williams and Wilkins medical publishing. Includes links to the library online journal collection.
PODIATRIC WEB SITES
These are useful websites for those studying Podiatric Medicine.
PUB MED
Includes the National Library of Medicine’s free database of Medline. Research articles are displayed as abstracted citations which have links to full-text articles.
PUB MED CENTRAL
Includes a collection of online medical journals made available through the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in Bethesda, Maryland.
SCIENCE DIRECT
Includes several journals held in the library which, in addition, are provided electronically.

Library Hours:
The Library is open for general use as follows:
Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
*Coverage may be reduced on holidays and on special occasions.
The library occupies approximately 3,500 square feet and seats 63 persons. Carrels (equipped with electrical outlets) permit quiet, individual study or audiovisual use. There are 14 computers in the library equipped with Internet access and Microsoft Office applications available for students use. CD Titles are available from these computers.
Student Computer Labs are located across the hall from the Library. They are under the management of the Department of Information Systems. These additional computers also have access to the Internet as well as word processing and spreadsheet facilities.
There is a wireless network in the Library and adjacent areas. It is designed for students and faculty to use their personal laptop computers in those areas. They must have a wireless network card. If they don't, one can be checked out of the library. The network only gives connectivity to the Internet and not to the local network and Intranet.
