An Appeal from our President
Dear Alumni,
As a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, you are part of a very unique heritage. Since its beginnings on May 12, 1911 as the School of Chiropody, with a class of ten men and women (exceptional for its time), NYCPM has had a fascinating history of shaping and advancing the art and science of podiatric medicine. And now, for the first time, you can share with your family, colleagues and patients the New York College of Podiatric Medicine Centennial book: The First 100 Years. This absorbing history of NYCPM illustrates how, from its humble beginnings, it became the most prominent college of podiatry in the world. And, if you have ever wanted to find other alumni, this 273-page hardcover edition includes all the names of NYCPM graduates from 1913 to 2011.
To obtain this beautifully designed and illustrated NYCPM Centennial book: The First 100 Years, we are asking you to make a tax-deductible contribution of $225.00 or more to the Centennial Scholarship Fund to help support the NYCPM students of tomorrow. Your important contribution enables us to continue providing a progressive and comprehensive program of podiatric medical education and clinical training designed to prepare future Doctors of Podiatric Medicine. This includes clinical experience at NYCPM‘s teaching/clinical affiliate, Foot Center of New York, and our affiliation with the foremost medical institutions in the country, including Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System.
Just as scholarship funds have made such a difference to students in the past, we look forward to your contribution that will make a difference to so many students in the future.
